Web Experience Internship @ ETS
TOEIC Test Taker Resources Page
June 2025 - July 2025
Overview:
ETS has been modernizing its product websites to improve usability and align with brand standards. My project focused on reimagining the TOEIC Test web experience, a standardized test assessing English proficiency for non-native speakers.
The Challenge:
Test-taker resources were scattered across multiple pages, making them hard to find.
Test takers were completing actions meant only for organizations and institutions.
Navigation was unclear, leading to confusion and increased support inquiries.
The Solution:
Centralized Resources
Designed a dedicated Test Taker Hub consolidating all essential resources in one place.
Segmented Navigation
Created a new navigation bar with clear sections:
Organizations & Institutions
Test Takers
User-Centered Design Process
Worked in Figma to produce wireframes, mockups, and final designs.
Iterated designs based on feedback from my manager and the lead UX/UI designer.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Attended meetings with stakeholders and developers to ensure design alignment with business goals, brand standards, and development constraints.
Outcome:
Streamlined user journey for test takers.
Reduced likelihood of misdirected actions between audiences.
Improved clarity and brand consistency across the TOEIC site.
